Meet Christi

Meet Christi McGuire

As a child I loved to read. I’d escape reality with books like The Chronicles of Narnia, Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, and Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.

I began my publishing career in 2000 at LifeWay Christian Resources as an editor. As I edited various publications, including HomeLife Magazine, ParentLife Magazine, BabyLife Magazine, VBS curriculum, Sunday School curriculum, and children’s devotional magazines, I was also able to sharpen my writing skills. With 12 years of experience as a writer and editor, I’ve published hundreds of parenting articles and dozens of curriculum units. I also enjoy assisting aspiring writers through the writing, editing, and publishing process. A self-admitted “grammar geek,” I will edit anything with words—from business materials to church newsletters to book manuscripts. For more information about working together, please click on the Writing, Editing, or Consulting links.

In addition to writing, editing, and consulting others in the publishing industry, I enjoy encouraging others and sharing my passion with women’s ministry groups: being still to know God in order to become the women He’s destined us all to be. For more information, please click on the “Speaking” link.

Best of all, I love God and telling others about Him! I also adore my family: my husband (my high school sweetheart) and my two adorable girls. Together, we seek God’s will as we live, work, and play along the Gulf Coast of Florida.

    Hi Christi,

Just found your blog and love it! As an aspiring writer, I really appreciate your grammar tips. 🙂 I’ve started up my own blog recently and am trying to jazz it up a bit. I love your blog design – was it just plug and play? How did you insert the FB, Twitter, and RSS images in the upper right corner? If you get a chance, please write me back.

    Thanks!!

    Stacie
